CUSTOM E36 FABRICATION PROJECT
This daily-driven BMW E36 M3 combines a rebuilt and tuned S52 engine with custom SMS-Metal fabrication. The project also includes a Sparco seat, steering wheel and harness setup, Bilstein PSS10 suspension, a widebody exterior, and vehicle-specific front and rear bash bars.
BMW E36 M3 bash bar fabrication
Bash bars are not a one-size-fits-all part. The fabrication team first needs to understand the vehicle, the existing bodywork, the mounting points, and the owner’s goals. The design must also account for clearance around nearby components.
For this E36 M3, SMS-Metal fabricated the bars for the car rather than presenting a universal product as a guaranteed fit. The original gallery below documents the finished tube work and its relationship to the widebody build.
A complete modified E36 setup
- Rebuilt and tuned S52 engine
- Sparco seat, steering wheel, and harness equipment
- Bilstein PSS10 suspension
- Widebody exterior
- Custom SMS-Metal bash bars
These details matter when planning fabrication because suspension height, exterior panels, exhaust routing, and intended use can affect the design. A shop should inspect the actual car before confirming scope, materials, or mounting strategy.
Discuss a fabrication project
If you need vehicle-specific metal work, share photos, measurements, the car’s current configuration, and what the part needs to accomplish. Contact Solo Motorsports to discuss whether an inspection and fabrication estimate are appropriate for your project.
