Corey’s AMG C63s Stage 2 Build

SMSTuned | Corey’s STG2 Mercedes Benz AMG C63s Coupe

Corey brought his 2020 AMG C63s Coupe to Solo Motorsports soon after buying it. His plan paired SMS-FAB downpipes with a custom Stage 2 SMSTune. The car then went through our dyno process so we could compare the original setup with the completed build.

The stock run recorded 404 wheel horsepower and 473 wheel torque. With the Stage 2 setup, the result rose to 476 WHP and 603 WTQ. That is a measured difference of 72 WHP and 130 WTQ between the two recorded configurations.

AMG C63s Hardware and Tuning

The documented hardware change was a set of SMS-FAB downpipes. Our team matched the custom calibration to the installed setup. The original project does not list a different turbo, intake, or fuel system, so this feature does not attribute the result to unlisted modifications.

For another AMG, the starting point is the exact vehicle and its current parts. A tune needs to suit the hardware, available fuel, and condition of the car. Our Mercedes-Benz tuning team can review those details before recommending a plan.

Corey’s AMG C63s Dyno Results

  • Stock: 404 WHP and 473 WTQ
  • Stage 2 SMSTune: 476 WHP and 603 WTQ
  • Recorded gain: 72 WHP and 130 WTQ

These figures measure output at the wheels. They are separate from factory engine ratings. The comparison uses this car’s recorded stock and Stage 2 runs, rather than an assumed baseline from another vehicle.

Peak numbers provide one part of the picture. The complete setup and test conditions matter too. Fuel, weather, vehicle health, and dyno procedure can change the result on another car, so this feature describes Corey’s project rather than a guaranteed gain for every C63 S.
