It’s been a long time coming. It’s been 25 years since the launch of the last Toyota Supra, way back in 93. The internet was barely out of diapers back then, and all you really needed in life was a manual gearbox, a turbocharged 2JZ engine, a gigantic hoop spoiler on the trunk and your favorite tuner on speed dial.
Enter new Supra, different engine platform, different numbers ballgame but still many Supra owners have their best tuner on dial like our client here 🙂
Fun Fact:
The GR is 200 pounds lighter than the 3.0-liter and lacks neat tech things like active differential and adaptive suspension. You also end up with a few less speakers and manually adjusting seats, but
This is a working-man’s Supra, and pricing will probably reflect that as Toyota imagines the 2.0 slotting good competition for even bigger engine platforms.
